Bridges are important connections for many forms of transport. In a mountainous province such as British Columbia bridges are essential to the construction of roads and highways. Newport Structures has a great deal of experience in the construction of many different types of bridges. For over 25 years Newport has constructed bridges all across BC, most commonly we have constructed prefabricated box-girder bridges where Newport has constructed the cast-in-place concrete approach for each side and then set the box-girders themselves. With the diverse range of terrain across BC the construction of bridges can be a complex job, especially if a water crossing is involved.
